Weekly Woofs 9: The Border Collie Diaries

Mud, mud, glorious mud! Spent a lot of time in the shower this week! Monday morning and it was only me and John. Jasper is on holiday this week and Luke couldn't come out to play as he'd had the you know what's sorted out!

He's out of action all week as vet said he can't run around with us all.

We did Luke proud, had a massive game of chase around the hayfield. Quite exhausting it was!

Collie Monday was great as always.

Hank was a little cheeky on his walk Monday. I must admit even I thought his attempt at walking on a lead was a poor showing! That day he had clearly decided that runners were fair game to lunge at. He had a total of four sit down chats with the boss before he sorted hiself out! Stan couldn't believe it when I told him on Tuesday! The boss did let him off to have a good run with me, he was good fun, we had a great gallop around the woods for about 30 minutes, then he got a little over excited and it was lead again. He is only still a young one. I did have a quick word and told him to wise up and he'll have more fun.

Tuesday morning! What a day. The traffic in Maidenhead was mad, so we left for work much earlier than normal. The boss got a bit grumpy! We parked up and walked to get Poppy as the traffic was so bad. Pops was quite confused when we left her house and there was no van!

Picked up Stan without issue, then the boss saw the traffic was still very bad so we decided to go round the back to fetch Rio. Uh uh! Cookham causeway was flooded and closed to traffic. We all got out and walked to Rio's house, Rio was confused by the no van thing too! After we picked him up we went for a big walk finally arriving back at the van. This time we were able to drive Rio home as the traffic had eased off.

No Tess and Otto this week, on holiday. Stan stayed out for the day with me and we headed off to pick up Murphy. He looked pretty clean and smart at that stage! It was a lovely afternoon Tuesday so we did our big loop walk of 8 kms. Some of this walk means we are on leads. As Collies we all walk perfectly together, of course.

Do you think we look smart in our Ruffwear gear?

If you do check out our shop over the weekend if you have time.

Wednesday it started to rain again, we headed off to the woods with Nethy and Sparky. They both love it there. This video is of Nethy getting quite excited to find the stick swing still in the woods! She makes me laugh, even though she's annoying like a little sister! There are more videos on Tik Tok and Instagram for you to look at.

Thursday was a big wash out, I was cold and tired getting home after 3 walks in the pouring rain! I could hardly keep my eyes open last night.

Here are the pictures of yesterday!

Nothing more to tell you about Thursday!

Collie Friday was also very wet, the Boss took us for a smaller walk, then we played ball for a long time. A few other dogs who were in the park came and joined in, we met some lovely people who told the Boss we were all lovely Collies and very well behaved.

The Boss was very proud of us.

Have a great weekend everyone, don't forget to follow me on social media.

Love Zac x
