Nana and Great Uncle David
The weekend
There is a new rule for everyone now the floor has been finished. No outdoor shoes! I have to wear my socks at home all the time - ridiculous!
Let me tell you about my relaxing weekend first.
After Mum and Dad left Friday to see their friends, Nana and Great Uncle David took me out for dinner down to Boulters. Very nice too once we had passed the unruly dog lunging at me when I went in to Boulters. There were a few well mannered dogs in the pub. We were all disgusted by his behaviour!
Food was good and then we had a chilled out evening watching TV on the sofa.
Saturday, I was up nice and early making sure no slept in too long. I didn't want to miss my breakfast! Great Uncle David went home at lunchtime Saturday, leaving me with Nana. We watched some TV together, a pretty good film called Mowgli. Have you seen it? I loved the wolf chases, got me going round in circles! We went for a coffee and game of frisbee down the park in yhe afternoon, then more films about dogs. Its great having Nana around she lets me watch the TV much more than Mum!
Sunday morning lounging until Mum and Dad arrived home at midday. We took Nana out for a great lunch at the Swan Uppers in Cookham. The beef was great, I got some meat, a roastie and some broccoli cheese. Tasty!
Monday back to work with the regular crowd. We headed off to Farm Woods it was a little slow, lots of sniffing and scenting until the Boss said 'playtime'!
Out came the balls and we had a great time. You can see what we got up to on Instagram. Click the link below or find us @colliecapersuk where you can see all our reels. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C20JY7PrjaB/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
Took Nana to the airport after work, she's gone to Australia to see Aunty Nicola.
Tuesday, a couple of great walks. We headed off to Cookham for the first time since the floods, lots of new smells down there. We were not allowed in the river at all, the Boss says it's still dangerous for dogs. We had a good run out on the common instead and kept ourselves clean and dry. Scout joined the Wednesday group today, I like Scout!
Picked up the afternoon gang after stopping off for a spot of lunch and a drink of water. Afternoon doing the Dorney loop. Murphy really wanted to get in the river, Boss said no! What does he do? Goes straight in the mud instead! He took Tess with him and they had great fun! Afterwards Tess only went and rolled in fox poo again! She was stinky!
At least they didn't go in the dangerous river!
We had to drive them home with the van windows wide open, freezing it was!
Tuesday evening, Mum bathed me, full on it was. I smelled like a Spa all night!
Wednesday morning we picked up Luke and John for their last walk before heading off on their holidays for a week. We certainly made the most of it! Running, chasing, jumping, diving we did it all! Had a great time.
After a quick drink stop, picked up Sparky and Nethy for a romp at the Thicket together.
I had told the boss about mum bathing me. She said I looked good and smelled better. Sparky laughed at me, told me I was very white and flowery!
That was it! I sorted it all out at the end of the walk in the Thicket. I found a nice pile of loose foxy mess and before I knew it I was covered!
I hadn't really thought this through much. The boss was well put out that I had to get in the van in such a state. I was made to walk back to the van at heel as she wouldn't put my lead on me. I didn't really see the problem!
I did when she took me straight home for a freezing cold hose down in the back yard! I may think it through next time!
More bad news, the Boss already had a bit of a sore throat when she got a text to say her friends from the weekend had Covid. Yikes! After work she tested and yep you guessed it! Covid.
She carried on working but told everyone to avoid her, except us dogs obviously!
Thursday, no boys as they are on holiday, just Jasper who was quite quiet and not quite himself. He's been a bit poorly lately. He was back to his normal chirpy self on Friday which was good to see. He was up for a big chase game and came pushing for more! He climbed a tree too!
Thursday morning crowd includes Seamus, Rio and Poppy. They were all a bit wound up this week, Rio was in a moody with everyone, Seamus was in a muddy puddle mood and Poppy was just being Poppy. She got told off by a Cane Corso for having a go at his little mate when we met another group! She ran off with her tail between her legs, we all laughed! He's a big old softie but she didn't know that!
Boss felt a bit rough Thursday afternoon so we were a bit prompt finishing up. Stan gave her a few cuddles on the way round to make sure she was OK.
Friday was another run out up at the woods as the river is still high down at Spade Oak.
Have a great weekend guys, mines going to be quiet I think with mum lying down!
Someone told me there's rugby on tonight and tomorrow. I guess I will have to settle for watching it! C'mon Wales!
Love
